HOWTO: Add a News Item to a Private News Folder in a Group

1. Navigate to your group.

2. Determine if your group has a private news folder. If not, refer to the Add A Group News Folder. Or contact the portal administrator: info@rmportal.net

3. If your group has a private news folder, any private news items located within the group folder will aggregate on the group's private news folder, so long as the news item state is set to private.

One suggestion is to create a folder named News in your group folder, and place all private news items in it.

4. To add a news item, refer to Add a News Item to a Private News Folder in a Group.

5. Important! Your news item is created in a private state. Leave it this way. If you publish it, it will be sent to the main portal news tab and news portlet.
